So, life with four kids gets pretty busy. I mostly think this right around dinner time when I am trying to make dinner, pick up the kitchen and feed Caleb. The other day I decided to do what most moms should do!! I had Sage feed Caleb his cereal, Jayden fed him the veggies, and Braxton helped with holding his bitter biscut so he could suck on it. It was the best. I made dinner, set the table, cleaned the kitchen and picked up part of the house. I acutally love to feed Caleb, but it takes so much time that having some help was really nice. I may be doing this more in the future.
This past week the kids had all their friends over for a Halloween Party. Kale and I had so much fun planning it and the kids had so much fun playing with friends. We played ring toss on pumpkins, bean bag toss, build a pumpkin face, and spider walk. We also ate popcorn balls and dirty pudding, spiders, and goodie bag treats. The kids had so much fun eating all the junk food they wanted and they playing outside. It was so cold, but the kids didn’t seem to mind. Parties are so much fun and we love to have friends over.
Which pumpkin will it be? The kids love to find pumpkins and had so much hunting for the perfect one. We ended up with quite a few, but the joy on the kids’ faces was priceless. Now we need to carve some of them.
We took the kids to Thanksgiving Point Cornbelly’s Fun on October 18th. We stayed for hours while the kids played and had lots of fun. Caleb even enjoyed going down the slide for the first time. Sage loved the princess section which also had a carriage. Jayden wanted to play on the slide the entire time. She went down them a million times! Braxton loved the water play, where you send ducks back an forth to each other. We had fun spend time together and seeing the joy on the kids’ faces.
Last Friday, Kip had the day off thanks to the CEO for giving everyone the day off. We, Kip, my mom, and I took care of the business by doing some packaging and shipping of orders. Then for lunch we decided to head to Denny’s for some food. The kids really wanted the rocket cups and since daddy is a softy the kids got them. They all wanted chocolate milk to drink which was a real treat! We had a great time even though they messed up Jayden’s order, forgot the kids powdered sugar for their french toast, and tried to charge us for something we didn’t order. Jayden also had a bloody nose which is not very fun. O’well, we will still go back since this is a favorite place with the kids.
Caleb’s new found love is his Johnny Jump Up. He loves to bounce in it for hours. Okay, maybe not for hours, but a good 45 minutes or so. He will bounce and talk the entire time. He can really get going and them to hear him talk is just so much fun.
Caleb’s other favorite thing to do is chew on his hands or a bitter biscuit. I am not sure if he is teething, but he loves to suck and chew. He is constantly putting his fingers in his mouth and drooling over everything. Once in a while I will be walking on the carpet and step in a wet spot which makes me stop and think if it was Caleb drool or something else.
Recently Jayden has started asking for milk. I know, kind weird since she doesn’t eat and enjoys her water. Well, one day at lunch time Sage and Braxton asked for milk to drink so Jayden decided she wanted some as well. She ask for a straw and drank a little and then started to blow bubbles. Sage and Braxton joined in the fun. Milk makes the best bubbles!!
Every morning the kids seem to wake up before 6:30. Why??? I have never had a child sleep in past 7:30 ever since having kids. It doesn’t matter what time they go to bed because they are always up early. Well, most of you know I am a morning person for the most part. I can get lots of things done in the mornings. Waking up early has never bothered me until recently. I am so tired and worn out that getting up at 6:30 is just painful now. I still get up and get going although I take the kids to the basement and turn on cartoons. One morning I was washing and folding laundry with baskets every where. The kids found themselves a basket and watched cartoons. They actually call them boats and go on boat rides quite often using wooden spoons as paddles. Sometimes they each need their own boat although they have moments where they will share. O’ the fun times they have together.
My birthday was a month ago and Kip and I were able to spend the Saturday before it together. My mom watched the kids, even Caleb, the whole day. We came back in time to put them to bed. For my birthday we went to Park City and rode the Mountain Coaster, Zip Line and Alpine Slide. It was a lot of fun. We enjoyed spending time alone which rarely happens. We also went to dinner and did a little bit of shopping. Overall, turning 29 was just great!
