Last Wednesday, we decided it was pumpkin carving time. I brought in the two big pumpkins while Kip put paper down on the kitchen floor. The kids we so excited and couldn’t wait to see what was inside the pumpkins. Kip cut a hat for each pumpkin and then we let the kids go to town and clean them out. After cleaning them out the kids would tell us what they wanted the eyes, nose, or mouth to look like. Caleb also wanted to see what the pumpkins were all about so we stuck him inside our biggest, roundest one. He loved sucking on the side and patting it. The kids just loved Halloween and still shout trick-or-treat and Happy Halloween all the time.

On Wednesday of last week the twins and I decided to rake up some very large piles of leaves to play in. I am always trying to come up with things to do while Sage is at preschool and this was the prefect thing. They jumped in them, hid in them, threw them for confetti, pretended to be asleep in them and just had a great time. Braxton and Jayden are the best of friends most of the time and it is so fun to see them interact with each other. They bring smiles to my face and make me laugh all the time. I love you tons Braxton and Jayden!

Caleb loves peas. You may not be able to tell for the pictures but he actually ate a hole jar. I consider this amazing since none of the other kids would touch green baby food. Now, he does not care for beans and he only will eat banana baby food if it is cold, but he will eat anything you feed him. No wonder why he is so big. Caleb is so much fun and so different from any of the other kids.

In our master bathroom we have a very large bathtub with jets and all. The kids take baths in our tub quite ofter becuase it is bigger and they can all get in at the same time. They love to have bubbles so it is fun to put in bubble bath and turn on the jets. It make so many bubble and they last forever. The last time we did this I made a few too many bubbles and the kids we covered in them. They were all smiles though.

At our house everyone loves to eat except for Jayden. She drank from bottles and ate food like a normal baby. After she got her g-tube and we started feeding her all night long she stopped eating. Then she started her throwing up about 8 times a day. At 27 months she went in for a routine check-up at Primary Children’s Medical Center where she met with a different nutritionist who put her on a new medication. This helped a ton with the throwing up and she started to take bites of food, although she would only chew it up and then spit it out. Okay, so to make this long story a little shorter, the other day we had some noodles with sauce which normally would go untouched on her plate except for this time. I cut a noodle up into about 8 pieces and she ate one little piece at a time and swallowed it. She continued to do this with three complete noodles. We were all so excited that we took pictures of the noodles and Jayden eating.
These noodle are only two inches long.
The day after eating the noodles, I was cleaning up dinner when Jayden wanted to sit on the counter and watch me. She saw the rice maker pan and extra rice and dug right in. She swallowed quite a bit of it.

She has started to tell us when she is hungry and wants something to eat. I will ask her what she wants and usually she will tell me sour cream, Mac and cheese, hotdog, m&ms, or noodles. Kip and I are keeping our fingers crossed that she will continue to swallow food.

Last year I bought some Mr. Pumpkin Head pieces that you can put on a pumpkin to give it a face. The kids loved it last year so we picked up a few new ones this year and decorated their pumpkins with them. I put everything into a bag and they could choose what they wanted their pumpkin to look like. Sage chose a kitty cat. Jayden wanted a dog. Braxton chose different random things and decided on a monster. Caleb’s turned out to be a pig because I got to pick. Anyway, the kids had fun helping to get the pieces in and then loving their pumpkins.

A few weeks ago we decided to go on a picnic to Provo Canyon. The kids are always talking about going up in the mountains and hiking and exploring. They had a great time. We took some pictures before the camera battery died and then the kids played for about an hour before it started to get dark. Kip took them on a walk in the trees and the kids were all a little scared. They watched for bears and heard strange noises. Their imaginations were running wild in the canyon. The colors we so pretty and the kids loved walking through all the crunch leaves. We will have to make sure and go more next year.
