Playhouse Disney Live!

February28

At the end of January, which is now a month ago we took the kids to see Playhouse Disney Live! on Tour. We dropped Caleb off at Grandma’s house and left is pleny of time to arrive early. Little did we know there had been a huge accident on the interstate and it look us about 45 minutes to go 5 miles or less. We made it to the show a little late, but at least we made it. The kids had a great time. I packed snacks for them and also their friends who had tickets right by us. It was fun to get our kids together with Reah and James along with Nate and Deb. We would have liked to have been a little closer, but the kids could see pretty good from where we were. Every time a theme song to a show would come on they would tell me they watched it on TV before. It was fun to hang out as a family! Advice for others though would be to go to the “On Ice” shows. You can see everything since the rink is the whole floor. The “On Stage” shows are just harder to see.

“Snow” Much Fun!

Here are some pictures of the kids playing in the snow back in January. They miss the snow, but kip and I are both so ecxcited for it to be gone. Please don’t let any more snow stay on the ground longer than a day!! We want spring to come now!!

Family Home Evening

So, one of my goals this year was to have family home evening every Monday night as a family. We use to have it once in a while, but I just felt like we needed to focus on our family instead of always running to package for the business on Mondays. In January, we had a lesson on rules, rewards, and consequences. We let the kids come up with their own rules they needed to follow and the consequesnces if they break the rule. It worked out great and we still have the signs the kids helped make hanging in our kitchen. I still refer to some of the numbers every days, especially the “No Running in the House” rule. The kids look at the signs quite often and pretend to read them. I think the one Kip and I laughed about was the punishment for yelling no at us. The kids chose a spanking which we try to follow although sometimes we change it to a time out (depends on what the kids is yelling about).

Other things we have done is gone to the library, read about what the candy cane represents and ate some, and talked about the preisthood and blessing. We are having so much fun with Family Home Evening and being together.

Caleb is nine months old. I can’t believe how fast time flies. I still remember the day we came home from the hospital and all the late nights, early mornings, and adjusting to four kids. It was all worth it. Caleb it such an easy and cute baby boy. Some things he can now do or has learned in the past few months.

Can do the “worm” and just switched to crawling.image10

Can cruise along furniture.

Eats anything and everything from baby food to table food to anything you are willing to give him.

Sleeps most of the night and usually gets up once around 5 am to eatwhich I try to make him go back to seep first and if he doesn’t then I feed him.

Babbles all the time.

Takes two naps during the day and each are about 2-3 hours.

Gives open mouth, slobbery kisses.

image50 Loves to be held, cuddled, and loved most of the time.

Screams at the top of his lungs when mad or if you take something away from him that he can’t have.

Loves bath time.

Knows how to gets into the kitchen drawers.image5

Tastes everything he mounth comes in contact with.

Scrouges food off the floor in the kitchen all the time.

Loves to be outside.

Climbs the dishwasher racks like a fence.

Plays peek-a-boo.

image85Caleb is such a joy!!! We love him so much. Sage is a big help most of the time with him although she does attack him once in a while and he screams. Braxton and Caleb are buddies. Braxton will lay by him and talk with him in the cutest voice. Braxton is always worried about where he is and always wanted to check on him. Jayden is always begging to feed Caleb. He eats every 2-3 hours so he is always eating and she wants to help. Caleb weighs about 19 pounds although we will find out his real weight in a few weeks at his check-up. He is wearing 12-18 months clothes and needs a size 3 shoe. He doesn’t have any teeth although he seems to be teething.

WE LOVE YOU CALEB!!!
